The role offered is a full-time, non-management Food and Beverage position within The Bar at The Ritz-Carlton Dallas. This position is tip eligible and also qualifies for service charge compensation, offering a rewarding pay structure for the right candidate. The primary responsibility in this role is to serve food and alcoholic beverages to guests with the highest level of attentiveness, professionalism, and hospitality expected from a luxury hotel. The Food and Beverage team members are essential in ensuring that guests enjoy impeccable service aligned with The Ritz-Carlton's Gold Standards, which focus on exceeding guest expectations through gracious and thoughtful care.
Serving food courses and beverages involves setting tables according to the type of event and service protocols, answering detailed questions about menu selections, and liaising closely with the kitchen to communicate special dietary needs, allergies, or ingredient availability. Employees must operate the MICROS point-of-sale system accurately to record transactions promptly. Maintaining cleanliness of the work areas and adhering strictly to safety and security policies are vital components of the role. As a frontline ambassador for the brand, you will engage with guests in a warm and professional manner, ensuring their satisfaction throughout their dining experience.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of related work experience
- Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods
- Physical capability to lift, carry, push, pull objects up to 25 pounds without assistance and over 50 pounds with help
- Ability to follow safety and security policies
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Willingness to complete safety training and certifications
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- At least 1 year of related work experience
- No supervisory experience required
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
- Capacity to lift and carry objects up to 25 pounds independently and over 50 pounds with assistance
Job Duties
- Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests
- Set tables according to type of event and service standards
- Answer questions on menu selections
- Communicate with kitchen regarding menu questions, wait times, re-cook orders, and product availability
- Record transactions in MICROS system at time of order
- Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and/or beverage
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, and glassware throughout the day
