Job Requirements
- must meet state legal age requirements
- at least 1 year of experience serving in a fast paced food and beverage venue
- ability to communicate effectively both verbally and using a point of sale system
- alcohol awareness certification or valid food service permit or health/food handler card
- physical ability to lift or carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
- ability to stand and move efficiently and safely throughout the entire facility during shift
- ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and lift
- must be courteous and pleasant
- ability to perform night, weekend, and holiday shifts
Job Qualifications
- at least 1 year of serving in a fast paced food and beverage venue, preferably nightclub environment
- knowledge of liquor brands, beer, wine, champagne, non-alcoholic beverages, designated glassware, preparation methods and garnishments preferred
- must meet state legal age requirements
- must speak fluent English, other languages preferred
- must be courteous, pleasant, and good natured
- strong communication skills with guests, bartenders, wait staff, cooks, and supervisors
- alcohol awareness certification and/or valid food service permit or health/food handler card as required by local or state government agency
- reading and writing abilities used frequently
- basic math skills frequently used when handling cash and credit
- willingness to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays
Job Duties
- greet all guests and take beverage and food orders in a prompt and professional manner
- serve cocktails and/or menu items to bar guests
- up-sell when taking orders
- show energy and enthusiasm while maintaining professionalism
- provide outstanding and professional service with a smile to ensure guest satisfaction
- communicate effectively and clearly with co-workers and kitchen staff using verbal communication and point of sale system
- communicate with guests clearly, patiently, and with good humor
- be knowledgeable about all concept products and menu items to guide the guest experience and sell food and beverage items
- consistently check guests’ identification to ensure they meet minimum age requirements
- monitor guest behavior and alcohol consumption and notify management of incidents
- complete all assigned side work
- accurately account for all sales and payments from guests
- alert management of any service or safety issues and make appropriate service recovery gestures
- promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments
- coordinate with bartenders and kitchen for ordering and receipt of food and beverages
