Professional Bull Riders (PBR) is an international organization dedicated to the sport of bull riding. It offers a platform for riders to showcase their skills and compete at the highest levels. Founded in 1992 by 20 professional bull riders, PBR has grown into the largest bull riding league globally.

The organization sanctions hundreds of events annually across the United States, Canada, Brazil, and Australia, making it a premier entity in the bull riding world.

Primary Events

PBR's flagship event is the "Unleash The Beast" tour, featuring the top 35 bull riders worldwide competing against formidable bulls. This premier series culminates in the PBR World Finals.

At the World Finals, the season's champion is awarded a golden World Championship buckle and a $1 million bonus, underscoring the event's high stakes.

In addition, PBR introduced the Camping World Team Series in 2022. This team-based league features multiple teams competing in various cities, concluding with a championship event at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

The organization also hosts the Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour, which highlights emerging and established talent. This tour provides riders with opportunities to gain experience and earn points towards qualifying for the premier series.

Broadcast and Audience

PBR's events are broadcast on major networks including CBS Sports Network. The sport’s appeal lies in its mix of simplicity and danger, attracting a diverse and growing audience over the years. Fans enjoy brief, intense bursts of thrilling action.

Ownership and Future

In October 2024, PBR was acquired by TKO Group Holdings, a merger between Endeavor-owned UFC and WWE. This acquisition is part of a larger $3.25 billion agreement anticipated to close in 2025.

This move aligns with Silver Lake Partners' plans to take Endeavor private and includes IMG and sports hospitality firm On Location Experiences.

PBR's dedication to its sport and fans has solidified its standing as a leading organization. The company continually strives to elevate the sport's profile and deliver unparalleled entertainment worldwide.
