Job Requirements
- Minimum of one year previous cooking experience
- At least six months experience in food service production
- Food handler's permit obtained within the first 14 days of employment
- Ability to work flexible hours in a fast-paced deli food service environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to follow strict health, safety, and sanitation regulations
- Capability to operate commercial kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of one year cooking experience at the level applied for
- At least six months experience in food service production
- Ability to obtain a food handler's permit within 14 days of employment
- Working knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment such as deep fryers, steamers, combi-ovens, char-grills, flat tops, slicers, hot boxes, and warmers
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety and quality
- Effective team leadership and communication skills
- Passion for delivering exceptional customer service
Job Duties
- Produce, execute, and deliver outstanding prepared foods in freshness, taste, quality, and presentation
- Assist in all aspects of deli foodservice to ensure high-quality customer experiences
- Prepare and present food according to the quality and skill level required
- Ensure all food is prepared following safety, health, and sanitation guidelines and regulations
- Enforce strict quality control measures on all food preparation and deli products
- Provide direct supervision and motivation to kitchen staff in an effective and respectful manner
- Operate and maintain commercial kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
