Job Requirements

  • Required: Minimum two (2) years of previous cooking experience with a demonstrated ability to teach and facilitate cooking classes for diverse audiences
  • Preferred: Experience working in a healthcare or pediatric setting
  • Required: Professional degree in Culinary Arts or related certification or equivalent
  • Preferred: Certification as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) or Certified Culinary Medicine Specialist (CCMS)
  • Required: Serve-Safe Food Manager Certification or equivalent Food Safety Training, knife skills including cuts and handling, purchasing and receiving, knowledge of measurements, Allergen Trained (top 9 or top 14), Fire Safety Training including use of K-class fire extinguishers
  • Preferred: Bilingual, strong computer skills, management/leadership skills
  • Required: None
  • Preferred: Registered Dietitian/Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) from Commission on Dietetic Registration or Certified Culinary Medicine Specialist (CCMS)
