  • Proven cooking experience including experience as a kitchen manager
  • excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
  • accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
  • meet all physical demands of the position
  • ability to learn routine repetitive tasks quickly
  • ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
  • work quickly and efficiently

Job Duties

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations
  • ensure the quality and safety of all food
  • keep the kitchen clean, sanitized, organized and well stocked
  • maintain equipment and utensils
  • create an excellent food experience for customers
  • monitor food waste and costs
  • manage inventory
  • troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner
  • develop a strong team dynamic and open line of communication between back and front of the house
  • communicate with vendors regarding materials, deliveries, pick-ups, etc.
  • communicate and work effectively with all departments of the company
  • measure efficiency and current practices to develop and implement improvements
