Job Duties

  • work weekends and holidays
  • lift, move, push, pull and transfer 50lbs
  • check and restock condiment bar for next day lunch
  • assist with lunch production as back-up
  • prepare evening meal using standardized recipes from the production sheet
  • prepare food items for the next day and special functions
  • record food and freezer temperatures on temperature charts
  • set-up and serve evening meal
  • maintain cleanliness of equipment and work area
  • assist with dietary department cleaning and follow daily cleaning schedule
  • inspect kitchen cleanliness and secure equipment at end of shift
  • properly store food in walk-in cooler and freezer
  • assist with dish washing and put clean dishes away
  • submit food production sheets to dietary office
  • act as supervisor designee in absence of Food Service Supervisor
  • provide leadership during safety or unusual incidents
  • participate in dietary meetings and conferences
  • comply with infection control, OSHA, and risk management
  • follow all health center and departmental policies
  • preserve confidentiality
  • comply with employee code of ethics
  • stay overtime during emergencies
  • attend monthly in-service education meetings
