Job Requirements

  • High school diploma preferred
  • Must be able to complete a satisfactory background check

  • Ability to work in a high-volume bakery environment
  • Ability to adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations

Job Qualifications

  • 3-4 years demonstrated experience in baking production and bakery maintenance or equivalent education and experience
  • Previous experience preparing multiple bakery items in a high-volume bakery
  • Knowledge of advanced baking techniques, cake and pastry decoration
  • Ability to measure ingredients accurately
  • Skill in mathematical calculations for production
  • Ability to assign, monitor, and lead bakery staff
  • Knowledge of sanitation and safety procedures in food production
  • Strong bakery skills and equipment knowledge
  • Effective English communication skills
  • Time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to prepare complex recipes
  • Ability to train others on equipment use
  • Ability to complete production paperwork accurately
  • Ability to follow production timelines
  • Effective interpersonal skills with team members and managers

Job Duties

  • Provide team leadership to Senior Bakers, Bakers, and Assistant Bakers
  • Assign, motivate, and monitor work in bakery production
  • Prepare complex bakery recipes according to standards
  • Utilize bakery equipment safely and train others
  • Maintain food handling and sanitation guidelines
  • Adhere to production timelines and schedules
  • Maintain accurate temperature logs and production records
  • Assist in recipe development and testing
