Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in culinary arts or related field preferred
- Minimum of 5 years experience in high-end or fine dining kitchens
- Proven leadership experience managing kitchen staff
- Expertise in classical French cooking techniques
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Valid food safety and sanitation certifications
Job Qualifications
- Experience as sous chef or head chef in fine dining, preferably French cuisine
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to follow direction while leading independently in service
- Proven ability to manage costs and staff effectively
Job Duties
- Lead the kitchen during service, maintaining pace, quality, and consistency
- Ensure that every dish is executed to the exacting standards of the Owner & Executive Chef
- Train and mentor the kitchen team in classical French techniques and house standards
- Maintain discipline, efficiency, and a calm professional environment
- Supervise ordering, prep systems, inventory, and cost control
- Organize mise en place for smooth service
- Manage scheduling and labor for kitchen staff
- Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and sanitation codes
- Work closely with the Owner & Executive Chef on menu execution, specials, and seasonal changes
- Provide feedback from the kitchen floor to help refine operations and guest experience
- Collaborate with FOH management to ensure seamless service
