Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years culinary leadership experience
  • Proven track record in luxury hospitality or high-volume multi-unit restaurant management
  • Ability to lead teams in executing large-scale events serving over 1,000 guests
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and compliance
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills
  • Availability to work full-time in a leadership capacity at SHACK15, Ferry Building, San Francisco
  • Experience with menu development for diverse service formats

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 8-10 years in luxury hotel banquets, fine catering, or multi-unit restaurant groups
  • Demonstrated experience leading large-scale food operations with 1,000+ guest capacity
  • Expertise in contemporary plating, mise en place execution, and production planning
  • Adept in culinary innovation, staff training, and budget management
  • Strong leadership, team-building, and communication skills

Job Duties

  • Lead and inspire a culinary team across all SHACK15 F&B operations
  • Execute events serving over 1,000 guests simultaneously across various venues
  • Develop and manage multiple simultaneous menus and service formats including cocktail receptions, action stations, multi-course plated dinners, and premium grab-and-go offerings
  • Drive culinary excellence while maintaining profitability, food safety, and brand consistency
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Events, Membership, and Operations teams to ensure seamless event execution
