We are currently seeking CDL-A Drivers to join our team. These drivers play a critical role in ensuring food and food service products reach customers securely and on time. Their responsibilities include driving tractor trailers or straight trucks on local, intrastate, and interstate routes, including overnight and shuttle assignments. CDL-A Drivers act as the face of the company, fostering positive relationships with customers while adhering strictly to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety policies. The role requires performing pre- and post-trip safety inspections, handling loading and unloading of product freight, verifying orders, managing delivery paperwork, and maintaining cleanliness of equipment and trailers. Drivers must be capable of using equipment such as two-wheelers and lift gates to handle freight, which typically ranges between 10 to 35 pounds and can weigh up to approximately 60 to 90 pounds depending on location. This position operates on a Monday-Saturday schedule with dispatch beginning between 3AM and 5AM. Drivers receive a competitive hourly wage of $37.50, paid weekly. The ideal candidate will have at least 12 months of commercial driving experience, a clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past three years, and must meet all necessary state and DOT licensing and health requirements. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 12 or more months commercial driving experience
  • Valid CDL-A license
  • Minimum age of 21 years
  • Meet all state licensing and certification requirements
  • Clean driving record for past 3 years
  • Pass drug test after job offer
  • Pass road test
  • Possess or obtain current DOT Health Card
  • Ability to lift and use equipment to handle freight weighing 10 to 90 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report for past 3 years
  • Pass post offer drug test
  • Pass road test
  • Attains or has valid current DOT Health Card or able to secure new DOT Health Card
  • Ability to hand-lift and utilize equipment such as two-wheeler and lift gate to move and stack product cases of varying weight

Job Duties

  • Perform all required safety checks including pre/post trip inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to DOT regulations
  • Inspect tractor/truck and trailer to ensure they meet company safety standards and report issues
  • Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies
  • Report safety hazards immediately
  • Inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
  • Perform count checks and verify customer invoices of loaded products
  • Complete accurate and legible paperwork associated with freight
  • Move tractor to loading dock and attach preloaded trailer as needed
  • Drive to and deliver customer orders according to predetermined route delivery schedule
  • Unload products from the trailer and transport items into designated customer storage areas
  • Perform damage control checks, scan items, and report to supervisor as needed
  • Verify delivery of items with customers and obtain signatures
  • Collect money where required
  • Load customer returns onto trailer and secure trailer doors
  • Ensure tractor, trailer, and freight are appropriately locked and secured
  • Unload damaged goods and customer returns
  • Complete daily record of hours of service and maintain log according to DOT and company policies
  • Perform general housekeeping duties in tractor, loading dock area and keep trailers clean
  • Secure all equipment and complete necessary paperwork at shift end
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
