Job Description

Airgas, an Air Liquide company, is a leading U.S. supplier of industrial, medical, and specialty gases, as well as hardgoods and related safety products. It stands as one of the largest U.S. providers of ammonia products and process chemicals. With a deep commitment to fostering a culture of safety, customer success, sustainability, and continuous innovation, Airgas employs approximately 18,000 associates who are empowered to share ideas, take initiative, and make impactful decisions. As a subsidiary of Air Liquide, a global leader in gases, technologies, and services for industry and healthcare, Airgas operates in 60 countries and serves more than 4 million customers and patients worldwide. This extensive reach and strong organizational foundation make Airgas not only a key industry player but also an employer of choice for those seeking to contribute meaningfully to a dynamic, inclusive, and diverse workplace.

Airgas is currently recruiting a CDL A Driver Hazmat - Nitrogen Transport Driver for its Corpus Christi, TX location. This role is designated as an immediate opening with a competitive annual earning potential exceeding $100,000, supplemented by quarterly bonus incentives and a generous $2,000 unlimited driver referral bonus. The employment schedule requires a 21-day consecutive assignment in the field followed by seven paid days off, with additional bonus opportunities for working during scheduled days off. The driver will mainly be traveling domestically, staying in private accommodations without roommates, creating a work environment that balances travel demands with personal comfort and rest.

The core responsibility of this role is the safe and timely delivery of liquid nitrogen to Airgas customers. This includes partnering closely with district management and field supervisors to ensure excellent customer service and operational success. The position demands a strong commitment to safety, particularly adherence to Department of Transportation (DOT) rules and regulations, fostering a "Safety First" culture, and advocating for best-in-class safety practices within the team. Drivers will serve as a reliable point of contact for customers, representing Airgas professionally and courteously during every delivery interaction.

This opportunity is ideal for individuals experienced in tractor-trailer and tanker driving who possess the necessary endorsements, including HazMat and Tanker, as well as the TWIC card. Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is essential, and knowledge in handling cryogenic equipment or industrial gases will be advantageous. The role also offers comprehensive family benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D, and disability insurance, alongside paid parental leave, 401(k) retirement plans with company match, tuition assistance, and early access to benefits after just 30 days of employment.

Joining Airgas means becoming part of a workplace that values diversity and inclusion, recognizing the unique perspectives of its employees, customers, and community stakeholders. Airgas promotes equal employment opportunities and strives to create an environment where all employees feel valued and able to contribute their talents to achieve success collectively. Prospective candidates can expect not only a competitive salary and benefits but also the opportunity to develop and grow within a stable and innovative company that values safety, sustainability, and community engagement.
