Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in food service or related field preferred
  • must complete a sanitation course
  • ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • proficient in basic arithmetic
  • capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment
  • willingness to work occasional nights and weekends
  • ability to maintain emotional control and resolve conflicts
  • ability to train and supervise staff

Job Qualifications

  • Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions
  • complete a sanitation course before or during the first year
  • possess knowledge in operating an efficient cost-effective program
  • ability to perform basic arithmetic
  • maintain emotional control under stress

Job Duties

  • Produce and maintain work schedules and prepare production packets
  • direct daily activities
  • maintain food production ensuring safety and quality
  • ensure proper food storage in a safe and organized environment
  • maintain all serving schedules per menu specifications
  • uphold sanitary department conditions following health and safety codes
  • maintain accurate inventory on a weekly basis
  • prepare orders as needed to ensure accurate production
  • supervise and evaluate employees, counsel and promote growth
  • maintain a safe and hazard-free working environment
  • train and mentor food service workers
  • maintain equipment maintenance logs
  • ensure food safety and temperature logs are completed with corrective actions
  • perform preventative maintenance checklist
  • recommend equipment replacement as needed
  • perform other duties as requested by the Food Service Director or Manager
  • fill in for absent employees as necessary
  • maintain knowledge of daily catering events and confirm timely preparation and delivery
  • work occasional night and weekend catered events
  • attend food service meetings
  • maintain communication with staff
  • perform cashier duties as needed
  • promote good public relations
