As a leading public school district, Dallas ISD places a strong emphasis on nutrition as a key component of student well-being and academic success. Within this context, the district operates various food service programs designed to ensure that students receive healthy and balanced meals throughout the school day, thereby supporting their growth, development, and readiness to learn.

The supervisor will be responsible for guiding and managing cafeteria staff, ensuring the preparation and delivery of nutritious meals using standardized recipes and menu instructions.

This position requires a detailed understanding of food safety and sanitation to protect both students and staff. Candidates for this role will possess at least a senior high school diploma or its equivalent, with two to four years of formal job-related training. Experience in food service management is essential, whether through direct management experience or completion of a recognized training program within the district. Certification in safety and sanitation, particularly from the City of Dallas, is required within one month of hire, reflecting the importance of maintaining rigorous health standards.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in English and, although not mandatory, the ability to communicate in Spanish may be considered a valuable asset given the diverse community served by the district. This role promises an opportunity to work within a supportive and structured environment where the supervisor can make a direct impact on the quality of meals served to students, promoting their nutritional health and well-being.
