Job Requirements

  • Minimum two years’ experience in a kitchen environment
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Knowledgeable about preparation and production of entrees, soups, and salads at high volume banquet service
  • Ability to prepare quality food in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to be flexible and handle several tasks at once
  • Ability to follow directions
  • Ability to understand and follow a recipe
  • Customer interaction skills a must
  • Prior kitchen experience of 2-3 years, high volume would be helpful
  • Prior experience in banquet service a plus
  • Flexibility of working different stations
  • Quick learning agility

Job Duties

  • Prepare food for all stations including specials and other food stations
  • Ensure sanitation and food safety in designated food stations
  • Track cycle menus and temperature control logs
  • Assist café management with food production, catering, and designated projects/events
  • Lead team in absence of Chef and oversee multiple service stations
  • Prepare and direct preparation of regular and catering menu items according to menus and recipes
  • Set up catering events as needed
