Daily Provisions, born in 2017 from the innovative kitchen of Danny Meyer’s Union Square Cafe in New York City, is a thriving collection of all-day neighborhood cafes with deeply rooted restaurant experience. This distinctive establishment blends the comfort of local cafes with the elevated culinary standards characteristic of a top-tier restaurant environment. Daily Provisions is widely recognized for its familiar yet sophisticated menu featuring classic dishes such as its signature crullers, all-day breakfast sandwiches with perfectly runny yolks, and a selection of freshly brewed coffee and teas that cater to a diverse clientele. Throughout the day, the cafes maintain vibrant energy by offering chef-driven salads, made-to-order sandwiches, seasonal sides, and comforting dinner classics like their renowned Roast Chicken. Since its inception in New York, Daily Provisions has expanded its presence to key locations including Jersey City, Boston, and Washington, D.C., becoming a beloved neighborhood institution cherished by its patrons.

As a Cafe Manager at Daily Provisions, you will play a critical leadership role working hand-in-hand with the General Manager to inspire and support both the Front of House and Back of House teams. This role demands a proactive leader who collaborates with managers across all Daily Provisions sites to ensure consistently exceptional service and culinary excellence. You will embody the philosophy of Enlightened Hospitality, ensuring that every guest enjoys a remarkable experience, whether dining in-store or ordering digitally. Job Requirements

  • 2 plus years management experience in a similar environment
  • bachelor’s degree or certification in hospitality related field or equivalent expertise gained from time on the job preferred not required
  • excellent verbal and written communication
  • understanding of microsoft office applications excel word outlook etc
  • nyc dohmh food protection certificate holder
  • english fluency and spanish preferred

Job Duties

  • cultivate a culture of enlightened hospitality for all stakeholders that supports our business objectives and growth
  • exhibit expert knowledge of the beverage and kitchen stations
  • be a champion of enlightened hospitality to our guests for in store and digital orders ensuring that the experience leaves them raving both during and after their visit or order
  • maintain excellence and cleanliness of the store ensuring that appropriate physical inventory is always available to employees and guests and that all staff is properly acquainted with appropriate cgs as it pertains to the cycle of service
  • continuously provide support to all foh and boh staff and actively participate in the cycle of service as needed
  • remain current and compliant with the correct hr practices and policies holding employees accountable to all standards and practices evaluating and or following disciplinary procedure when necessary
  • ensure that the payroll process is completed accurately on time and according to business accounting procedures
