NU3S is an innovative multi-faceted business soon to launch in Queens, NY, aimed at providing a unique blend of market café services alongside an advanced valet-operated touchless bay carwash and a full-service auto care center. Positioned at the bustling intersection of Farmers and Merrick Boulevard, NU3S is set to become a community hub for residents and visitors alike. The café will feature expertly crafted coffee, tea, shakes, and delicious food combos suitable for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, promising an experience that balances quality, convenience, and great taste. The role of Head Chef at NU3S is critical to the success of the new high-volume café. This position will initially start part-time during the pre-opening phase where the successful candidate will be involved in kitchen setup, menu testing, and pre-opening preparations. As the café launches, the role will transition to full-time, requiring approximately 40 hours per week. The Head Chef will be responsible for cooking and preparing food that strictly adheres to the menu's recipe cards, ensuring consistency and quality across all dishes served. Leadership is a key element of this role, as the Head Chef will oversee and train kitchen staff operating within a fast-paced Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) environment, managing the flow of food production while maintaining kitchen efficiency.
In addition to culinary duties, the Head Chef will manage inventory and supply logistics to minimize waste and optimize costs, while maintaining compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations. A clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment must be maintained at all times to meet both company standards and regulatory requirements. NU3S values strong leadership and organizational skills, particularly in managing a busy kitchen that serves a high volume of customers. Experience with QSR, café, or bakery settings is essential, as is holding a valid ServSafe certification. Job Requirements

- Prior experience in kitchen leadership roles
- Valid ServSafe certification
