The Busser role at Kalahari Resorts’ Double Cut Steak House is a key position within the dining team aimed at ensuring a flawless guest experience. As a busser, you will be an essential part of creating a welcoming and clean dining environment by efficiently clearing and resetting tables, maintaining clean floors and dining areas, and supporting your team to deliver exceptional service. You will be responsible for assisting servers and hosts to ensure smooth and efficient seating and service flow. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in a hospitality or customer service role preferred
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to communicate clearly with guests and team members
Job Qualifications
- Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
- Self-directed and able to work independently during busy times
- Previous experience in restaurant, hotel, resort, or customer service preferred
Job Duties
- Take dirty tableware to dish room and place silverware, dishes, glassware, etc. in the appropriate areas for washing
- Between seating, promptly clean tabletops, chairs and booths
- Check floors and clean them as required
- Reset and arrange tabletop
- Inspect assigned restroom every 30 minutes and clean and replenish supplies as needed and/or alert the common area cleaners of problem areas
- Communicate with server and hostess/host to assure efficient seating, table utilization and customer service
- Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor
