The role of the Server Assistant at JW Marriott Anaheim Resort is essential to maintaining the high standards of the guest dining experience. The Server Assistant supports both the Outlet Manager and the Restaurant Servers by ensuring the dining environment is clean, welcoming, and well-stocked. Key responsibilities include quickly clearing and resetting tables to prepare for new guests, replenishing service items such as silverware, linen, and condiments, and assisting in serving beverages, bread, and butter to guests to enhance their dining experience. The assistant also handles the transport of dirty tableware to the dishwashing area and complies with attendance policies to ensure regular availability. This position offers an hourly wage of $21.13 and eligibility for tipped/service charge income. The Server Assistant role requires physical stamina to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds and push carts weighing up to 150 pounds, demonstrating the physically active nature of this job. Excellent communication skills are also necessary to interact effectively with supervisors, team members, and guests, ensuring smooth operation and prompt service. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in a hospitality or food service environment preferred
- Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs
- Ability to move or push goods on a hand cart or truck weighing up to 150 lbs
- Must comply with all attendance rules and be available to work regularly
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Knowledge of the appropriate table settings and service ware

Job Duties
- Quickly clear dirty table settings and prepare table for resetting
- Promptly and consistently reset all service ware
- Maintain stock and cleanliness of stations for all meal periods with necessary equipment including silverware, linen, and condiments
- Serve guests with beverages, bread, and butter to begin their dining experience and replenish as necessary
- Transport all dirty tableware from dining room to dishwashing area for proper cleaning
- Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis
- Perform any other job-related duties as assigned
