The barback position at American Place Casino is a key role within the bar team, vital to ensuring seamless operations and superior guest service. This role involves maintaining stock levels by managing beverage inventory, restocking, and preparing requisitions as necessary. The barback ensures a constant supply of essential items such as ice, glassware, and drink garnishes, while also maintaining the quality of fresh fruit through proper rotation. Keeping the bar clean, organized, and well-stocked with kegs and bottled beers is integral to daily operations. The position requires a hardworking, reliable individual with excellent communication and teamwork abilities, capable of thriving under pressure in a lively casino environment characterized by bright lights, noise, and occasional smoke exposure. Prior experience in hospitality is advantageous but not mandatory, as the casino values candidates who are open to feedback and willing to grow with the team. Job Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred
Minimum of 6 months related experience
Ability to manage high-volume and stressful situations effectively
Excellent communication skills for exceptional guest service
Comfortable working in a casino environment with exposure to smoke, bright lights, and noise
Capability to lift, carry, and maneuver up to 25 to 30 pounds
Endurance to walk and stand throughout assigned shifts
Able to obtain and maintain necessary licenses and/or certifications as required by local gaming regulations

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred
Minimum of 6 months related experience
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Openness to feedback and direction
Comfortable working in a casino environment with exposure to smoke, bright lights, and noise
Bilingualism preferred but not required

Job Duties

Maintain established stock levels by transporting beverage cases from walk-in coolers to the bar
Prepare requisitions for additional supplies as needed
Ensure a constant supply of ice, glassware, and drink garnishes
Rotate fresh fruit to maintain quality
Keep all bar areas clean and organized
Restock kegs in walk-in coolers and rotate bottled beer in reach-in coolers
Empty trash bins in the bar area and ensure proper disposal
Perform other duties as assigned to support team objectives
