The role of Bench Operations Manager at Island Hospitality is a dynamic and vital position created for professionals eager to lead and support hotel operations across multiple brand properties. As a Bench Operations Manager, you will be responsible for traveling to various hotel locations within Island Hospitality’s portfolio to fulfill open management roles in operations, food and beverage, or rooms division. The manager acts as an on-site leader ensuring that every aspect of hotel operations is conducted in line with established brand standards and the company’s high expectations for quality and guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities include training hotel staff on financial control procedures, conducting daily room inspections, overseeing departmental budgets and purchasing, and supporting team leaders to achieve or exceed guest service goals. The role also encompasses human resource functions such as recruiting, hiring, onboarding, performance evaluations, training, and administering disciplinary actions. A strong focus on quality control, cost management, and guest experience is critical. The Bench Operations Manager must be highly motivated, proactive in problem-solving, and capable of working well under stress while maintaining an approachable presence for guests and team members alike. Job Requirements
- willing to travel and fulfill open operations, food and beverage or rooms division manager positions at different hotel brands
- ability to stand, sit or walk for extended periods
- ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 25 pounds frequently
- previous experience leading food and beverage operations
- ability to handle human resources duties such as recruiting and training
- valid driver’s license
Job Qualifications

- previous experience leading food and beverage operations

Job Duties
- travel to fulfill open management positions at various hotel brands within the portfolio
- ensure hotel staff are trained in financial control procedures for cash, vouchers, inventories, and receivables
- conduct daily room inspections to uphold brand and company standards
- notify supervisors of damages, deficits, or disturbances
- ensure departments achieve or exceed guest service expectations
- control departmental purchases with attention to quality and cost
- prepare team member schedules according to budgets and forecasts
- identify revenue and expense opportunities and potential problems
- assist team leaders in meeting AOS goals
- periodically inspect rooms, building exterior, and parking areas
- manage human resources functions including recruiting, hiring, onboarding, performance evaluations, training, and disciplinary actions
