This role centers on delivering exceptional guest experiences through attentive and professional bartending services within a vibrant and fast-paced live music environment. The position requires a friendly and engaging demeanor to interact naturally with guests, cultivate loyal patrons, and ensure the highest standards in beverage quality and service. Responsibilities encompass preparing and serving beverages according to established recipes and specifications, performing necessary safety checks and equipment maintenance documentation, and adhering strictly to local alcohol service regulations and company policies. The bartender must efficiently manage drink orders, perform cash handling and point-of-sale transactions, and contribute to maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards within the venue. Flexibility is essential, as the role often demands late hours and participation in special event support. A strong commitment to responsible alcohol service and guest safety is paramount, alongside an ability to manage and de-escalate situations involving intoxicated individuals professionally and courteously.   • State or county licensee or certification requirement/responsible alcohol awareness training certification or equivalent
  • ability to work late hours

  • must be able to lift or move up to 25 lbs using proper lifting techniques
  • skill in interpersonal communication and teamwork
  • physically able to pass a pour test and a mixology drill (timed)
  • ability to deal with intoxicated guests in a positive and safety minded manner
  • tolerance of all cultures, music and art forms

Job Qualifications

  • State or County Licensee or Certification Requirement/Responsible Alcohol Awareness Training Certification or Equivalent
  • skill in interpersonal communication and teamwork
  • cash handling experience
  • ability to deal with intoxicated guests in a positive and safety minded manner
  • tolerance of all cultures, music and art forms
  • physically able to pass a pour test and a mixology drill (timed)
  • preferred: 4 years work experience in high volume environment
  • experience recognizing valid ID’s
  • experience in a live music environment

Job Duties

  • Interact with guests in a natural, friendly demeanor
  • cultivate regular guests and repeat business
  • successfully complete a pour test prior to every shift, where applicable
  • suggestively sell both beverages and menu items to guests at the bar
  • deliver food items and beverage orders promptly
  • prioritize and organize drink orders
  • consistently prepare beverages according to standard recipes and venue specifications, abide by all control systems
  • record any equipment failure and/or safety hazards in bar log
  • recognize when guests are becoming too intoxicated and refuse further service of alcohol in a courteous and safety-minded manner, bringing it to the attention of a manager
  • ensure responsible alcohol service per local ordinance, alcohol awareness training and HOB alcohol policies
  • request proper identification for anyone appearing under 30 years of age
  • maintain HOB safety and sanitation standards
  • perform opening/running/closing duties according to HOB policy
  • prepare guest checks (on point of sales terminal) and process payment according to HOB policy
  • maintain bartender bank
  • perform cash pull/check out procedures
  • maintain appropriate Comp and Spill checks
  • occasionally work special events that are scheduled throughout the venue
