This role focuses on the position of a Food and Beverage Service Attendant within one of Azul Hospitality’s food service outlets. The primary purpose of this position is to deliver friendly, courteous, and efficient service to guests, ensuring a quality presentation of food and beverage offerings. The attendant is responsible not only for taking customer orders and providing detailed product information but also for preparing and serving hot and cold specialty beverages such as coffee, tea, and artisan drinks. Additionally, this role involves maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the outlet, including preparing work areas, cleaning tables, floors, and service utensils, and restocking necessary supplies like cup sleeves, straws, and napkins.
The Food and Beverage Service Attendant plays a critical role in upholding the outlet’s service standards and operational policies while maintaining a calm demeanor during busy periods. This includes operating the POS system for cash and card transactions, executing proper food and equipment handling, and adhering to health and safety regulations. The position requires a blend of customer service skills, attention to detail, and physical stamina, as it involves standing for extended periods, working in temperature-controlled environments such as freezers and kitchens, and handling equipment that may weigh up to 250 lbs. Professionals in this role must be knowledgeable about coffee beans, brewing methods, drink preparation, and must have valid Safe Server Alcohol and Food Handlers certifications.

Job Requirements
- High school education or equivalent
- minimum one year customer service experience
- Safe Server Alcohol and Food Handlers certification
- ability to stand and move for up to four hours
- ability to work in temperature extremes (-10 degrees F to +110 degrees F)
- ability to lift up to 45 lbs
- ability to push and pull carts and equipment weighting up to 250 lbs
- ability to communicate in the primary workplace language

Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Take customer orders
- describe menu items and suggest products to customers
- provide information about products and look for up-sell opportunities
- prepare and serve hot and cold drinks including coffee, tea, artisan and specialty beverages, pastries, and cookies
- prepare all drinks and food items following outlet and company standards
- educate and inform customers about coffee beans, preparation, and brewing methods
- ensure equipment is clean and in working order
- report maintenance or repair needs
- maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations
- clean and sanitize work areas, utensils, and equipment
