The Barista role at Patina at MLB in New York, New York, is a vital position that focuses on providing excellent guest service through expert knowledge of coffee, mastery of beverage recipes, and the ability to educate both teammates and customers. This full-time, tipped position offers an hourly wage of $18.00 (excluding tip earnings) and provides an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment known for its commitment to both employees and guests. The Barista will be responsible for preparing beverages according to brand specifications, ensuring top-notch service, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

As a Barista at Patina, you will greet and acquaint guests with beverage offerings while using suggestive selling techniques to enhance the customer experience. You will serve food and beverage items in the correct proportions while adhering to strict health, safety, and sanitation guidelines. Your responsibilities also include assisting in opening or closing the location and performing cleanup duties to maintain the quality appearance of the work area, including cleaning equipment. You will be expected to accurately process transactions through the point of sale system, collect the proper payments, and maintain accurate cash counts and bank balances at the end of shifts.

This position requires physical stamina, as it involves constant standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive motions. Baristas must also be able to remain stationary for the entire length of their shift and perform normal lifting of stock up to 50 pounds. The work schedule for this role is Monday through Friday, offering a consistent daytime shift.
