Job Description

Bar Management experience is a MUST. There is room for timely promotion for the right candidate.

We are a high-volume, popular bar in Midtown with an unusual and exciting experience for our customers. We are seeking a passionate and experienced manager to join our team as Assistant General Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven individual to contribute to a dynamic and growing business.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the General Manager in overseeing all aspects of bar operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
  • Manage and motivate staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
  • Maintain a positive and professional work environment for all team members.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service, addressing any concerns and exceeding expectations.
  • Oversee inventory management, receiving, and controlling stock levels.
  • Manage costs and expenses, maximizing profitability.
  • Maintain the bar's cleanliness and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
  • Assist in developing and implementing marketing strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints effectively.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager on budgeting and financial reporting.
  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of new ideas and initiatives to enhance the customer experience.
  • Manage all check lists for staff.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a management role within a high-volume bar or restaurant environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to motivate and manage a team.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a passion for hospitality.
  • Solid understanding of bar operations, including inventory management, cost control, and POS systems.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • A positive attitude and a team-oriented approach.
  • Dynamic and exciting work environment.

Compensation: Range $60,000 - $110,000
