The Banquet Bar Porter (Bar-back) is responsible for supporting bartenders and ensuring smooth operations during events by maintaining fully stocked bars and assisting with various tasks. Job Duties
- Receive all liquor, beer and wine from storeroom daily and as needed
- replenish liquor, beer and wine in the bar throughout the shift
- assist bartender with tasks and restock bar supplies
- retrieve food items from kitchen and deliver to bar area
- retrieve beverage items and garnishes from storerooms and deliver to bar
- set up bottles on bar with 'top shelf' liquor on back shelf
- ensure beer taps are working properly
- place bar snacks on counter and keep supplies stocked
- assist in opening and closing side work
- bus tables in bar area
- maintain cleanliness and tidiness of bar or lounge areas
- wash work tables, walls, refrigerators and floors under equipment
- sweep and mop service areas
- remove rubbish from receptacles
- prepare and serve beverages as needed
- perform other duties as assigned
