The role of a Back Server/Busser at North Italia is an entry-level yet integral position within the restaurant that offers solid pay and opportunities for personal and professional growth. As a part of the front-of-house team, Back Servers/Bussers are responsible for maintaining cleanliness and readiness in the dining area by ensuring tables, chairs, booths, and floors are promptly and thoroughly cleaned and reset between guest visits. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds

  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Clear and clean tables after guests leave including dishware, table tops, chairs, booths and floor
  • Reset and arrange tables quickly for the next guests
  • Communicate with guests, servers and hostesses to ensure excellent guest service
  • Thank guests as they are leaving
  • Fill in as needed to ensure smooth and efficient restaurant operation
