Job Requirements
- high school diploma
- one to two years supervisory experience preferably in food service
- ability to communicate effectively in person and by telephone
- physical ability to stand extensively without breaks
- capable of handling heat, steam, smoke, cold and odors
- able to bend, reach and walk frequently
- able to reach heights of approximately 6 feet and depths of 2.5 to 3 feet
- high mobility and flexibility in confined spaces
- able to fit through openings 30 inches wide
- able to work irregular hours under pressure and stress during busy times
- able to carry trays weighing up to 20 pounds for 30 feet
- able to lift up to 50 pounds
Job Qualifications
- one to two years previous supervisory experience preferably in the food service industry
- high school diploma
- some college or degree preferred
- effective communication skills with employees, guests and vendors
- ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously
Job Duties
- assist the general manager in planning and analyzing administration and operations manpower
- achieve planned profit levels while ensuring maximum guest satisfaction
- handle cash, credit card information, gift cards and guest payments accurately
- assist in the planning and analysis of restaurant manpower and employee development
- participate in recruitment, training and orientation of new employees
- attend University of Perkins and complete all coursework
- achieve and maintain ServSafe certification
- perform and assist in all restaurant positions
- ensure proper food preparation, portioning and presentation according to standards
- monitor food temperatures to prevent food-borne illness
- ensure compliance with productivity and service standards through proper staffing
- manage facility and equipment maintenance, energy conservation, repairs, and safety
- maintain inventory levels and order supplies efficiently
- identify and correct system breakdowns to ensure guest satisfaction
- manage financial data including payroll, cash, receipts, food costs, security and operating expenses
- attend team meetings and present reports as required
