Job Requirements

  • Associates degree in culinary arts or culinary school certification or equivalent
  • One year of food services supervisory experience
  • ServSafe certification or ability to pass within one year
  • Ability to interact positively with management and coworkers
  • Ability to produce high volume accurate and quality work timely
  • Knowledge of menu creation and cooking principles
  • Knowledge of food storage and spoilage prevention
  • Skill in creating menus and cooking standardized items
  • Ability to read and interpret recipes, safety rules, and manuals
  • Ability to complete routine reports and logs
  • Ability to listen and interpret communication accurately
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups
  • Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers
  • Ability to read a clock and document time accurately
  • Ability to apply common sense to instructions
  • Ability to deal with problems in standardized situations
  • Knowledge of food costing and inventory systems

Job Qualifications

  • Associates degree in culinary arts or culinary school certification or equivalent education and experience
  • One year of food services supervisory experience preferred in healthcare, hotel, resort or restaurant settings
  • ServSafe certification or ability to pass within one year
  • Knowledge of menu creation
  • Knowledge of cooking principles
  • Knowledge of food storage and spoilage prevention
  • Skill in creating menus and cooking standardized items
  • Ability to read and interpret recipes, safety rules, operating manuals
  • Ability to complete routine reports and logs
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to apply common sense and handle standardized problems
  • Knowledge of food costing and inventory systems

Job Duties

  • Manage retail staff including interviewing, hiring, onboarding and training
  • Provide effective feedback and evaluate employee performance
  • Delegate work assignments to maximize efficiency and productivity
  • Conduct monthly retail meetings to inform and engage staff
  • Ensure food quality, freshness, taste and presentation meet standards
  • Establish menu-selling prices
  • Monitor food waste management techniques
  • Analyze sales data and report monthly sales to management
  • Develop and implement action plans to increase revenue
  • Develop and monitor standards of service in retail areas
  • Implement marketing techniques to improve revenues
  • Ensure accurate price displays
  • Assist in equipment and supply selection
  • Assist in budget development and cost controls
  • Enforce cash management processes
  • Serve as POS system administrator
  • Inspect and maintain retail equipment and utensils for cleanliness and operation
  • Adhere to organizational safety, confidentiality policies, and values
  • Support team in exhibiting organizational values
  • Perform related duties as assigned
