With a rich heritage rooted in the culinary art of Brazilian grilling, Fogo de Che3o offers guests an unforgettable dining adventure centered around open-fire roasting techniques and a commitment to exceptional hospitality. As a leader in the upscale casual dining sector, Fogo de Che3o takes pride in not only serving delectable food but also fostering a warm, inclusive environment where guests and team members alike feel valued and inspired. The company's mission is to ignite fire and joy as it cares for its team, guests, and communities—embodying the spirit of "Feed a Purposeful Future" by providing fulfilling job opportunities and creating a welcoming space around the table. This commitment drives the company’s culture of excellence, teamwork, integrity, humility, and support encapsulated in the phrase Deixa Comigo (we've got you!).

The Restaurant Assistant Manager at Fogo de Che3o plays a pivotal role in executing this mission by overseeing daily restaurant operations, managing teams, and ensuring guests receive unparalleled service. This position involves advising and supervising restaurant team members while leading efforts to recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing workforce. Proficiency in systems like Guest.Bridge and Open.Table is essential for managing guest reservations and wait times effectively, aligning guest experiences with Fogo de Che3o's elevated standards. An Assistant Manager also ensures compliance with food safety standards by confirming that all employees maintain current and valid food handler certifications. The role supports a culture of recognition guided by the OZ Principle, focusing on celebrating team member achievements and fostering positivity.

Operational responsibilities include inventory management, sales forecasting, target setting, and administering the Eco.Sure environmental program to promote sustainability. Another critical aspect of the job is maintaining rigorous safety protocols for both guests and staff, ensuring the restaurant operates in adherence to safety policies and that the overall environment is secure. The Assistant Manager is expected to handle guest concerns promptly and professionally, contributing directly to guest satisfaction and retention.

The company's ideal candidate demonstrates strong competencies such as decisive judgment, effective adaptation to change, and excellent planning and organizing skills. This person drives results by pushing themselves and the organization toward excellence and embodies guest service by anticipating and exceeding guest expectations. Leadership qualities are essential, including the ability to coach and develop team members through mentoring and constructive feedback that encourages professional growth. Resilience, teamwork, and collaboration are pillars of success in this role, alongside a commitment to adhering to company policies, processes, and procedures. Functional acumen within the restaurant industry, particularly knowledge of churrasco cuisine and operations, sets candidates apart.

Candidates will typically have a minimum of five years in restaurant operations and preferred experience in churrasco and churrascaria cuisine. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, while a bachelor's degree in hotel or restaurant management is desirable. The position demands proficiency in food planning, purchasing, sanitation, security, personnel management, recordkeeping, and report preparation. Familiarity with Microsoft Office is mandatory, with additional preferred skills in software such as Aloha Point of Sale, Hotschedules, Workday, Guest.Bridge, and Menu.Link. The role may also require occasional travel.

Physically, the Assistant Manager should be capable of frequently lifting and moving up to 25 pounds. The position requires high endurance, mental toughness, and conflict management skills to navigate high-stress situations effectively.

Fogo de Che3o offers comprehensive benefits for full-time team members, including medical, dental, and vision insurance available from the first of the month following employment start date. The company also provides paid life insurance and short-term disability coverage, along with voluntary benefits such as critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident coverage, permanent life, and pet insurance.
