Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of culinary management experience in a similar role
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain any licensing or active work cards required including Food Manager Certification
  • Valid health card required
  • Ability to communicate, read, and write in English fluently and professionally
  • Culinary degree preferred but not required
  • Exhibit accurate knife skills and manage all aspects of kitchen operations
  • Ability to perform high quality job standards with attention to detail, creativity, speed, and accuracy
  • Ability to work well under pressure and resolve problems using good judgement
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrate creative and artistic approaches to plate presentations
  • Ability to direct and lead staff
  • Willingness to assist in all phases of operation
  • Knowledge of union environment preferred
  • Basic computer skills and Microsoft Office knowledge required

Job Duties

  • Support culinary management in all aspects of cost control
  • Complete inventories and food requisitions
  • Manage and train kitchen staff
  • Support chef de parties and cooks as necessary
  • Supervise food production at all stations ensuring food quality meets outlet standards
  • Ensure compliance with government health regulations, industrial safety standards, corporate and departmental policies, and Culinary Bargaining Agreement
  • Maintain consistent Wynn food quality standards
  • Monitor and improve food quality consistency to enhance customer experience
  • Ensure workplace and environmental safety
  • Encourage team participation in decision making
  • Identify best practices and efficiency measures
  • Ensure direct reports conform to Wynn policies and procedures
  • Lead team by defining roles, responsibilities, and monitoring performance
  • Maintain Wynn core values in business conduct
  • Mentor staff through coaching and positive reinforcement
  • Provide ongoing reward and recognition
  • Involve all management members in decision making
