Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years culinary management experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Food Manager Certification and valid health card
  • Fluent in English with strong communication skills
  • Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work flexible hours and under pressure
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations
  • Willingness to follow corporate policies and Culinary Bargaining Agreement
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of culinary management experience in a similar role
  • Ability to obtain and maintain licensing or work cards including Food Manager Certification
  • Valid health card required
  • Fluent in English with professional communication skills
  • Culinary degree preferred but not required
  • Accurate knife skills and kitchen operation management
  • High quality job standards with attention to detail and creativity
  • Ability to work well under pressure and solve problems with good judgement
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Creative approach to plate presentation and menu research
  • Ability to lead and direct kitchen staff
  • Team player willing to assist in all kitchen phases
  • Knowledge of union environments preferred
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office

Job Duties

  • Support culinary management in cost control
  • Complete inventories and food requisitions
  • Manage and train kitchen staff
  • Support chef de parties and cooks as necessary
  • Supervise food production at all stations ensuring food quality meets outlet standards
  • Ensure compliance with government health regulations and industrial safety standards
  • Foster a safe workplace by maintaining and communicating safety policies
  • Identify and resolve problems related to workplace and environmental safety
  • Encourage team participation in decision making
  • Define roles and responsibilities and monitor team performance
  • Mentor and coach staff with ongoing reinforcement
  • Provide employee recognition through applicable reward programs
  • Maintain Wynn core values in daily operations
