Job Description

Hotel Equities is a distinguished, multi-award-winning hotel development and hospitality management company recognized for its excellence and innovative approach in the hospitality industry. Headquartered in Atlanta, the company operates numerous properties across the country, delivering exceptional guest experiences and fostering a culture that empowers employees, promotes diversity, and embraces core values that drive success in every aspect of its operations. The company's commitment to exceeding guest expectations and making a positive impact in the communities it serves positions it as a leader in hotel management, known for its integrity, professionalism, and dedication to quality service.

The Area Sales Manager role at Hotel Equities involves leadership and strategic oversight of the sales functions across multiple hotel properties, including Tru by Hilton Little Rock, Home2 Suites Midtowne Medical Center, and Home2 Suites Chenal. This pivotal position requires developing and executing comprehensive sales and marketing strategies to maximize revenue and profitability while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. The Area Sales Manager will take charge of building, mentoring, and motivating a dynamic sales team, ensuring effective collaboration and achievement of sales goals. Responsibilities include securing new accounts and nurturing existing client relationships, with the aim of driving group business and room sales.

The ideal candidate brings over two years of experience in hotel sales, preferably with multi-hotel and multi-brand expertise, and familiarity with Hilton sales processes and systems such as OnQ, Profitsword, and PEP. This leadership role demands strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while leading a virtual team. Candidates must be proactive, resourceful, and capable of multitasking while maintaining a professional and ethical approach. An essential part of the role involves active networking through attendance at local and out-of-town meetings, conventions, and community events to generate business leads and raise the hotel's profile.

This role also includes managing the department's budget and consistently monitoring sales performance to align with profit objectives. The Area Sales Manager will negotiate contracts, conduct site tours, and maintain a customer database, ensuring a seamless customer experience and effective follow-up with clients. Excellent communication skills, with a strong command of written and spoken English, are crucial for success in this position.

Hotel Equities offers a competitive salary ranging from $60,000 to $62,000 per annum, complemented by a bonus structure and cell phone allowance. Additional benefits include comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) retirement savings plan, paid vacation and sick leave, recognized paid holidays, and exclusive employee discount programs covering shopping, travel, and entertainment. The company emphasizes career development, offering access to a dedicated Talent team to support individual growth and advancement within the hospitality industry.

As an equal opportunity employer (EOE) committed to diversity, fairness, and well-being in the workplace, Hotel Equities integrates its core values into every level of operation. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to a 'best in class' hotel brand and be part of a company that values authenticity, engagement, and integrity. Candidates should expect to be flexible with scheduling to meet guests and attend sales-related events, including occasional weekend commitments. Please note that the job description is not exhaustive and the Area Sales Manager role may involve additional duties as required by the organization.
