Job Requirements

  • bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of culinary experience in the foodservice industry
  • strong solution-selling mindset
  • proven collaboration with sales teams to develop new business and grow existing accounts
  • solid understanding of the broadline distribution network
  • experience selling branded food categories
  • excellent communication skills
  • accountability for delivering KPIs and team goals
  • proficiency in business planning and implementation
  • ability to travel up to 50 percent
  • reside in or near New Jersey area

Job Qualifications

  • 3+ years of culinary experience in the Foodservice industry (corporate or kitchen setting)
  • degree in Culinary Arts
  • strong solution-selling mindset with a creative approach to addressing customer needs
  • proven ability to collaborate with sales teams to both develop new business ("hunt") and grow existing accounts ("farm")
  • solid understanding of the Broadline Distribution Network
  • experience selling branded food categories is a strong plus
  • excellent communication and follow-up skills across all levels of the Unilever organization
  • accountability for delivering KPIs and team goals
  • proficiency in business planning and implementation
  • deep understanding of and passion for consumer/operator needs and behavior

Job Duties

  • support the Customer Development (CD) team from a culinary perspective by assisting in the delivery of critical customer presentations and new menu ideations
  • act as a savory expert, bringing deep knowledge of scratch cooking to culinary initiatives
  • lead culinary content development for specific culinary projects in North America, collaborating with chef peers and the Head Chef
  • drive and accelerate savory/scratch cooking growth initiatives that enhance the value of Unilever Food Solutions (UFS) brands for existing and new customers
  • collaborate closely with Marketing, CD Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain to coordinate efforts and align resources within your assigned zone
  • understand and work with both metric and imperial measurement systems in recipe development and communication
