The Account Manager, Global Partnerships, plays a critical role in managing relationships with key preferred partners across Virtuoso’s four main verticals: Hotels & Resorts, Cruise, Destination & Experiences, and Alliances. This position is responsible for achieving annual company and departmental sales targets assigned to their portfolio of accounts while fostering growth and deepening relationships. The role requires strategic collaboration to increase preferred partner visibility within the Virtuoso Network and drive engagement and sales.
The Account Manager is expected to be highly proactive, with a focus on meeting and exceeding key performance indicators, including revenue performance goals in marketing sales and event attendance sales. They are tasked with creating and maintaining in-depth Partner Briefs aligned with global and regional accounts, which are strategically designed to support company growth objectives and housed on the company’s CRM platform for transparency and accessibility. Entering detailed sales activities such as meeting notes, emails, phone calls, and tasks in the CRM ensures global visibility and coordination.
Additionally, the Account Manager implements action plans with partners for growth and engagement that align with measurable KPIs while staying within assigned budgets. Collaborative business planning is essential to developing growth and profitability plans tailored to each partner’s goals, which may involve educating, advocating, and training partners on Virtuoso’s products, services, and events to boost engagement and sales.
Maintaining and monitoring the health of the partner portfolio is a vital function, requiring timely communication of any concerns to Directors. The role emphasizes relationship building and management, focusing on achieving shared strategic goals with both global and regional preferred partners. Further responsibilities include identifying and engaging less-active partners through data analysis and representing Virtuoso at industry trade shows, conferences, and meetings. The Account Manager also supports event management activities such as registrations, waitlists, and prioritizing partner participation.
This full-time role demands strong communication, presentation, and project management skills, alongside a results-oriented attitude with a commercial delivery focus. Travel is required at about 20% to 35%, primarily regional with some international trips. Virtuoso offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and a 401(k) savings plan. The company values diversity and is committed to equal opportunity employment.
