About The Westminster Communities of Florida
Westminster Communities of Florida is a faith-based, not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing exceptional senior living experiences across the state. Established in 1954, the organization has grown to serve over 7,000 residents in 23 communities. It is the largest not-for-profit senior living provider in Florida and the 10th largest in the nation.
The organization offers a diverse range of living options to cater to the varying needs and preferences of older adults. Their Life Plan Communities provide a continuum of care, including independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing, and rehabilitation services.
These communities are strategically located in cities such as Bradenton, Jacksonville, Lakeland, Orlando, St. Petersburg, Tallahassee, and Winter Park. Residents can choose environments ranging from waterfront settings to urban living.
In addition to Life Plan Communities, Westminster Communities of Florida operates 12 affordable Rental Retirement Communities throughout north and central Florida. These communities are designed for older adults with low to moderate incomes.
They are situated in cities including Cocoa, Daytona Beach, DeLand, Fort Walton Beach, Jacksonville, Orlando, Pensacola, Sarasota, and Tallahassee. Residents enjoy amenities such as:
- Resident-run convenience stores
- Parks and accessible accommodations
- Optional meal programs
- In-building laundry facilities
A cornerstone of the organization’s philosophy is the “My W Life” program, which emphasizes whole-person well-being by integrating body, mind, and spirit. This program offers a full calendar of social, wellness, and lifelong learning opportunities to ensure residents lead active, fulfilling lives.
Partnerships with local universities and colleges further enrich these offerings by providing residents with access to educational and cultural experiences.
Headquarters
The organization is headquartered in Orlando, Florida, at 80 West Lucerne Circle. Their commitment to quality and service is reflected in recognitions such as the 2025 Joint Commission's Gold Seal for National Quality Approval.
