Young chefs are encouraged to apply for the S.Pellegrino Young Chef Academy Competition 2024–2025. This culinary talent search has been run by Sanpellegrino since 2015, returning this year for its sixth edition.
Aspiring chefs will have the opportunity to be mentored by world-renowned culinary geniuses. These mentors will be by their side, helping them bring their unique visions to life and take their culinary skills to the next level.

Who Can Apply
The competition is open to chefs aged 18–30, or those born after February 20, 1994. They should also have at least one year of full-time experience working as a “chef de partie,” “sous chef,” “commis” or “chef de cuisine.” Lastly, those who wish to apply should be currently employed.
Sanpellegrino will be accepting applications in the following languages:
- Chinese
- Mandarin
- English French
- German
- Italian
- Spanish
Keep in mind that English is the competition’s official language. All applicants must have sufficient proficiency in spoken and written English.
How It Works
Online registration is open until June 19, 2024 (6 p.m. GMT). Participants must submit their signature dish recipe to represent their ability and creativity.
All applications will be assessed by ALMA, The School of Italian Culinary Arts. Those who pass will move ahead to the Regional Finals.
The event’s culmination, or the Grand Finale, is set for November 2025 in Milan. Participants are encouraged to check for any changes in schedule or location.
Competition Phases
- Online registration: February 21 – June 19, 2024
- Regional shortlist definition: June 19 – July 22, 2024
- Regional Finals selection: Starts from July 22, 2024
- Regional Finals: September 9, 2024 – January 31, 2025
- Grand Finale: November 25 (subject to change)
