Position: Senior Events Coordinator – Hybrid
About: The Center for Internet Security (CIS) is looking for a Senior Events Coordinator to join their Corporate department. The CIS is a community-driven nonprofit organization dedicated to making the connected world a safer place for individuals, businesses, and governments through collaboration and innovation. The organization sets industry-leading best practices for securing IT systems and data, offering cyber threat prevention, protection, response, and recovery services to U.S. State, Local, Tribal, and Territorial (SLTT) government entities and election offices.
Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Event Planning, Marketing, or a related field; 5+ years of professional event planning experience; Experience managing and maintaining external vendor and venue resources and relationships; Ability to accommodate mission-based overnight travel as necessary; approximately 20-30% travel is required; Experience using event management software; Strong attention to detail and ability to successfully multi-task and manage time effectively; Strong project management skills; Excellent interpersonal skills and professional demeanor, with focus on customer service and communication; Must be authorized to work in the United States
