Established as one of the fastest-growing rental businesses in North America, the company emphasizes not only the quality and range of its equipment but also the expertise and friendliness of its knowledgeable staff, which are key differentiators in a competitive marketplace. Sunbelt Rentals invests heavily in its workforce by offering competitive benefits and extensive on-the-job training to all eligible employees. This investment in people supports its growth and success as a national leader in the industry.

Sunbelt Rentals is currently seeking an entrepreneurial and engaged individual to join their team as a Porter / Yard Worker. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment where each day brings new tasks and responsibilities. The Porter / Yard Worker position serves as an essential part of the company's operational excellence by ensuring that equipment is properly stationed and retrieved within the yard area. The role includes maintaining a written schedule for equipment maintenance, conducting inspections of equipment before and after rentals, and documenting any lost or damaged items. This position not only requires a working knowledge of general mechanical maintenance but also offers opportunities for advancement into roles such as mechanic, driver, or customer service positions. The role supports a safety-focused culture and encourages effective communication skills, basic mathematical abilities, and hands-on engagement with construction and industrial tools. Candidates with a high school diploma or GED, experience with construction tools, and some mechanical repair knowledge will thrive in this career path at Sunbelt Rentals. The physical demands include tasks like bending, squatting, reaching, and lifting heavy equipment, reflecting the dynamic and hands-on nature of the position.

The starting pay ranges from $18.99 to $26.11 per hour, with variations depending on location, education, training, and experience. Sunbelt Rentals also provides a robust benefits package for full-time employees that includes health, dental, and vision insurance plans, 401(k) matching, volunteer time off, disability insurance, life and accident insurance, flexible spending accounts, tuition reimbursement programs, and employee assistance programs. Paid time off benefits are generous and include vacation days, sick days, holidays, floating holidays, inclusion and volunteer days reflecting the company’s commitment to work-life balance and employee well-being. Veterans and service members are encouraged to apply as Sunbelt Rentals supports military service members in their employment journey.
