Job Description

Relay is a pioneering technology company revolutionizing the physical economy by bridging the gap for the deskless workforce through its Intelligent System of Action. Unlike traditional solutions that merely focus on communication devices, Relay is building an AI-powered digital ecosystem that transforms frontline operations into a data-rich environment, empowering the 80 percent of the global workforce who do not work behind desks. As a hyper-growth company trusted by over 10 percent of the Fortune 500, Relay is deeply committed to creating high-impact value with a rapidly expanding customer base, featuring exceptional revenue retention and innovative AI tools that capture billions of data points weekly.

Relay's culture emphasizes best work experiences, offering a work environment designed for wellness, collaboration, and professional growth. Their amenity-rich campus and full health insurance coverage demonstrate a strong commitment to employee well-being. The company fosters a culture of learning, impact, and teamwork, inviting motivated professionals to align their work with a compelling mission to redefine frontline work.

The Events and Facilities Manager role at Relay is a strategic leadership position responsible for managing two of the company's most visible functions: events and facilities. This role requires a dynamic and execution-focused professional who excels at logistics, cross-functional collaboration, and program development. The manager will own the strategy and execution of all company events ranging from large-scale offsites and seasonal celebrations to community programs and internal all-hands meetings. Additionally, they will oversee facilities management to ensure that the physical workspace supports the company’s culture and evolving needs amidst rapid growth.

The ideal candidate thrives both as a strategic planner and as a hands-on operator who can manage multiple large-scale projects simultaneously. Responsibilities span event lifecycle management, vendor negotiations, budget oversight, facilities space planning, lease agreements, catering coordination, and community engagement. A critical aspect of the role is sustaining high-quality, scalable processes and communications that reinforce Relay’s brand and culture.

Being onsite five days a week is essential, along with the flexibility to travel within the Triangle area to support off-site events. The role demands exceptional organizational skills, strategic foresight, and a collaborative mindset to foster a seamless employee experience.
