Guests enjoy a proud tradition of culinary excellence through multiple dining experiences including al fresco and in-room dining, all crafted to offer memorable moments reflective of the hotel's prestigious brand.
The role being offered is for a Part-time Sommelier within the Food & Beverage Services department, dedicated to upholding the high standards and esteemed brand of Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek. The Sommelier operates under the supervision of the Director of Wine and is responsible for supporting the selection, procurement, storage, sale, inventory, and service of wines. This role is central to maintaining the excellence of the wine program and ensuring harmonious alignment between the wine offerings and the a la carte menu. The Sommelier provides operational support and expert guidance to outlet leaders and service associates, enhancing guest experience through thorough training, teamwork, and strong product knowledge.
The position requires managing multiple responsibilities such as curating wine lists in coherence with the overall beverage program, conducting wine education and training sessions for the food and beverage team, managing stock levels and inventory control, and ensuring compliance with all relevant alcohol service regulations. The Sommelier must exhibit a deep passion for wines, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced luxury hospitality environment. The role demands flexibility, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining the hotel's brand integrity and exceptional service standards. Fluency in English is required, and additional language skills are preferred. Physical capability to perform tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds and enduring various movements throughout the shift is necessary. Certifications such as WSET or Court of Master Sommeliers are preferred but not mandatory.
