Known for their innovative approach to event management, MIRRO Events consistently curates memorable gatherings that blend education, entertainment, and social interaction. Their focus on quality and community connection has made them a respected name in the Los Angeles event scene. The company prides itself on creating inclusive atmospheres where participants can both learn and enjoy themselves in dynamic environments.
This summer, MIRRO Events is hosting WineFluent, a five-week summer wine education series that takes wine appreciation to the next level. Designed for those who already have a passion for wine, WineFluent is not just a tasting event but an expertly guided journey through the world of wine. Hosted at some of Los Angeles' top wine bars, each session features a curated tasting of 10 wines combined with a thematic class experience. This program is perfect for wine lovers eager to refine their palate, expand their wine vocabulary, and connect with like-minded individuals in a lively, social setting.
The role of Wine Educator / Sommelier for this summer series is a part-time position offering a competitive flat-rate compensation based on experience. The job involves leading five evening sessions, one each week, throughout the summer of 2025. The ideal candidate is a dynamic, personable, and highly knowledgeable sommelier or wine educator who excels at educating others in a way that is both expert and approachable. This position emphasizes creating a fun yet structured class atmosphere that encourages group participation and fosters a warm community spirit.
The Wine Educator / Sommelier will guide 15 participants through each weekly session, covering topics such as tasting techniques, terroir, food pairing, and navigating wine lists. They will collaborate with the organizing team on the selection of wines and session structure, although the curriculum is provided. The role also involves delivering lively, engaging presentations tailored to an intermediate-level audience, facilitating group discussions, and maintaining an inclusive and energizing environment. Beyond knowledge, the candidate must bring enthusiasm, excellent interpersonal communication skills, and a passion for demystifying wine to make it accessible for all attendees.
This role offers an exciting opportunity for wine professionals who love teaching and sharing their passion in a social and energetic setting. The position is perfect for sommeliers or certified wine educators looking to leverage their expertise in a flexible, part-time capacity while engaging with a vibrant community of wine enthusiasts in Los Angeles. Candidates will benefit from working with a company that values education, social connection, and cultural experiences, making this role both professionally rewarding and personally enjoyable.
