Job Description

PRP Wine International is a renowned company in the United States that has been dedicated to sharing fine wines with its clients since 1972. With over four decades of experience in the wine industry, PRP Wine International specializes in providing exclusive access to a carefully curated selection of premium wines through unique educational and enjoyable wine tastings held in the comfort of clients' homes and offices. These tastings focus on creating a personalized and risk-free wine experience, allowing customers to explore wines from prestigious regions such as Napa Valley, Barolo, Bordeaux, and many others around the globe. PRP’s customer-centric philosophy ensures that clients know exactly what they are paying for, eliminating the guesswork often associated with purchasing wine and guaranteeing satisfaction by offering replacement selections if any client is not happy with their purchase.

PRP's approach to wine enjoyment goes beyond just sales; it is an educational journey that transforms wine enthusiasts into connoisseurs by offering one-on-one conversations and curated tastings that align perfectly with the preferences of each individual or group. The company hosts numerous events annually, including boat cruises, food and wine tastings, warehouse sales, hotel wine tastings, exhibitions, and other exclusive educational gatherings, featuring over 100 new wines each year. Through these events, PRP has built a loyal customer base of over 100,000 wine lovers who appreciate the opportunity to try before they buy and deepen their understanding of various grape varieties, wine-growing regions, vintages, and estates.

Moreover, PRP Wine International is a pioneering force in marketing personalized wine gifts for business use, offering customized labels and etched wine accessories that provide a unique touch to corporate gifting. The company also actively participates in community engagement by supporting charity fundraisers and networking events across the country, giving back to the communities that support their growth.

As a prospective candidate considering a career with PRP Wine International, individuals can expect to join a well-established, growing national organization known for its innovative products and commitment to customer satisfaction. The role emphasizes working in a performance-driven environment that rewards exceeding sales goals with competitive commissions and bonuses. Candidates will benefit from comprehensive sales training, ongoing support, and a flexible work structure fostering self-accountability. The company values internal growth, with nearly all sales management roles filled through promotion, offering a clear career path within a recession-proof industry.

The wine consultant role focuses on building meaningful client relationships, coordinating private tastings, and educating clients about the wide variety of wines in the PRP portfolio. Candidates should be organized, self-motivated, coachable, and comfortable interacting with clients both in-person and by phone to arrange appointments. The position requires participation in community functions and events to build local network connections. The work schedule includes evenings and weekends, reflecting the nature of hosting wine events. Candidates must also enjoy learning about wine and sharing that passion with others.

Compensation for the role includes uncapped commissions, training bonuses within the first four weeks, lead generation support, and an available monthly car allowance. Additional incentives include quarterly and annual bonuses, contests, domestic and international trips, and an employee discount on wine purchases. Health, vision, and dental insurance, along with a 401(k) program, are offered, ensuring a comprehensive benefits package. This exciting career opportunity is ideal for those who thrive in a client-focused environment, seek flexibility, and desire to be part of a nationally recognized leader in the wine industry.
