As a Territory Sales Manager based in or near Portland, Oregon, you will play a pivotal role in furthering Wenger Corporation’s strategic goals by proactively pursuing sales opportunities within a designated territory that includes Oregon, Nevada, Alaska, Hawaii, and surrounding areas. This role involves working closely with key customers such as district administrators, end users, architects, general contractors, and construction managers. Your responsibility will be to maximize sales by addressing the needs of new construction projects, renovations, and existing facilities. You will be the front-line representative for Wenger’s portfolio, helping customers select the best solutions and optimize design strategies in alignment with their project goals.
The Territory Sales Manager position is instrumental in maintaining and expanding customer relationships while effectively managing the selling process using tools such as the Salesforce CRM program. Your daily responsibilities will include planning sales trips, consulting with customers, reviewing bid documents, and coordinating sales pursuits across various internal departments. You will be expected to develop and execute business plans based on territory-specific key performance indicators, ensuring you meet or exceed sales targets.
In addition, this role involves certifying, scheduling, and presenting company-developed AIA accredited courses, which highlights the educational and professional development aspect of the position. Demonstrating a deep understanding of Wenger’s products, market trends, competitors, and customer buying processes will be essential to your success in this role. You will also actively pursue new business development opportunities, promote key product introductions, and form a comprehensive and well-qualified database of contacts and sales opportunities.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Proven sales experience with a documented track record of success
- Ability to plan and implement sales strategies independently
- Comfortable working remotely from home
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software
- Experience with Salesforce preferred
- Ability to present to groups effectively
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Managing territory through a CRM (Salesforce) program with timely and accurate updates
- Plans and coordinates sales trips in assigned territory to maximize sales results
- Consulting with customers on best solutions and optimizing design strategies
- Reviewing front end bid documents
- Manage the selling process of identified territory projects and opportunities effectively communicating internally and externally in a timely manner
- Sells team product portfolio at established pricing and margins
- Develops and execute territory KPI Business plans to achieve company initiatives
- Certify, schedule, and present company developed AIA accredited courses
- Develops and maintains in-depth knowledge of company products, processes, markets, competitors, buying influences, customers, and customer processes to maximize efficiency and effectiveness
- Pursues new business development and achieve goals related to key or strategic product introductions and targeted promotions
- Coordinates sales pursuit activity as required across different internal company departments
- Establishes, documents, and maintains a strong, well-qualified data base of contacts and opportunities
- Liaison to Sales Management, Marketing, and other internal delivery partners to provide input and feedback regarding products, programs, and pricing
