Qualified welders will work with various materials such as steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and specialty alloys including invar. Responsibilities include clamping, holding, tack-welding, bracing, grinding, or bolting components to achieve correct configurations before welding.
The job involves lifting and moving materials using overhead cranes and hi-los and requires physical stamina due to frequent standing, climbing, stooping, and occasional lifting of heavy materials. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Certificate in Machine Tool Technology or equivalent work experience
- Ability to read drawings and weld symbols
- Previous welding experience with steel, stainless steel, aluminum, or other alloys
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Physical ability to stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Commitment to safety procedures and regulations
Job Qualifications

- Ability to read welding procedure specifications and blueprints
- Experience welding steel, stainless steel, aluminum, or invar alloys

Job Duties
- Operating equipment using safe work habits
- Inspect welds and work pieces to acceptance of the standard they are working to
- Measure work pieces with straight edges, tape measure, scale, or templates to ensure proper fit
- Weld steel, stainless steel, aluminum, invar or other specified alloys per their qualifications and the applicable WPS
- Clamping, holding, tack-welding, bracing, grinding or bolting component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding
- Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
- Lift or move materials and finished products using overhead cranes / hi-lo
- Able to read drawings and weld symbols
- Maintains continuity among work shifts by adhering to required documentation and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs
- Other duties as assigned
