Aurora Health Care is a leading healthcare provider known for delivering high-quality medical services and compassionate patient care. As a comprehensive health system, Aurora Health Care serves a diverse population with a commitment to innovation, patient safety, and community wellness. This well-established institution operates numerous facilities, including hospitals, outpatient centers, and specialty clinics, fostering a supportive environment for both patients and staff. Aurora Health Care emphasizes teamwork, respect, and excellence, making it a reputable place to build a rewarding career in healthcare services.

The role of Facility Greeter and Concierge at Aurora Health Care is a pivotal position that embodies the organization's dedication to exceptional customer service and smooth operational flow. This position primarily involves welcoming patients, visitors, and guests, ensuring their immediate needs are identified and addressed promptly to enhance their overall experience. The individual in this role will be responsible for managing the first impression of the healthcare facility, which is critical in setting a positive tone for patient care and community trust.

Key responsibilities include greeting customers courteously, assisting with transportation needs such as helping patients out of vehicles or locating wheelchairs, and providing clear directions or escorting visitors to their destinations. This role requires collaboration with hospital departments like Admitting, Public Safety, Environmental Services, Plant Operations, and Patient Transport to ensure efficient navigation and safety throughout the facility. The greeter also assists with traffic flow management and parking arrangements, including valet service and accommodating tour buses or short-term visitors. It is essential for the greeter to maintain a clean, safe working environment free from obstacles and to promptly report any security or safety concerns to the Public Safety Services Department.

Furthermore, this role demands an understanding of age-specific care principles, enabling the greeter to assess and meet the unique needs of patients across the lifespan. Physical demands include the ability to stand, walk, or run for about 95% of the workday, withstand weather conditions, and manage lifting or moving weights up to 50 pounds. Exceptional communication, customer service skills, and the ability to problem solve independently are paramount to success in this dynamic, customer-oriented position.

Joining Aurora Health Care as a Facility Greeter offers the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to patient satisfaction and facility operations within a respected healthcare organization. It is an ideal role for individuals passionate about community service, patient interaction, and maintaining a welcoming environment in a bustling medical setting. This full-time role requires flexibility and dedication to meet the evolving needs of Aurora's guests and visitors, positioning the greeter as an essential ambassador for the institution.
