Job Requirements

  • Be at least eighteen years of age
  • Have the ability to frequently lift and or move items up to 50 pounds
  • Be active as this role requires standing walking bending kneeling and stooping all day
  • Comfortable working in close contact with extreme temperatures including cooking surfaces and walk-in freezers
  • Ability to work primarily indoors with availability to work outdoors for events
  • Must be criminally cleared

Job Qualifications

  • Possess a current Food Handlers Card as specified per the Department of Health
  • Demonstrated skills knowledge and competency in leadership training and supervision
  • Proficient written and oral communication skills with management professional and support staff
  • Ability to read write understand and communicate effectively in English
  • Experience in food preparation and cooking preferred

Job Duties

  • Prepare all menu items according to established standards and recipes providing exceptional quality food that is attractively presented in a timely fashion
  • Ensure health protocols are always followed including proper hygiene sanitary food preparation and proper food temperatures
  • Familiarize with residents and their preferences and needs participating in resident orientations
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and work areas
  • Assist in inventory management and food storage adhering to safety standards
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents and address any dietary concerns
