Job Requirements
- Must possess and maintain an "Eligible" ACHA Background Screening status
- must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
- must possess ability to make independent decisions and maintain calmness during emergencies
- must possess ability to deal tactfully with residents, personnel, family members, visitors, and the public
- must be knowledgeable of administrative practices, procedures, and guidelines
- must be familiar with HIPAA privacy procedures and confidentiality guidelines
- must possess a cheerful personality and work harmoniously with other personnel
- must be able to minimize waste of supplies and misuse of equipment
- must be willing to incorporate new methods and principles into existing practices
- must be able to follow written and oral instructions
- must be able to type at least 30 words per minute and operate a computer
- must have working knowledge of computers and software
- must be able to use 10-key calculator effectively
- must be able to operate copy machine, fax machine, and multi-line telephone system
- must assist Business Office Manager as required
- must have understanding of long term care facility regulations
- must treat all residents, employees, and visitors with respect and dignity
- must know and protect all residents' rights
- must maintain quality service as required by the facility
- must have genuine interest in working with the elderly
- must not pose direct threat to health or safety of others
- must be able to move intermittently throughout the work day
- must cope with mental and emotional stress of position
- must possess adequate sight/hearing or use prosthetics
- must function independently with integrity and flexibility
- must meet general health requirements including medical examination
- must have pleasant speaking voice
- must be able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and at times hostile people
- must be able to push, pull, move, or lift a minimum of 35 lbs to a height of 5 feet and carry such weight a minimum of 450 feet
- may assist in evacuation during emergencies
