There is an excellent opportunity for a Full-Time Concierge to join the team at Carriage Inn Bryan. The role is pivotal as the primary point of contact and ambassador for the residence, responsible for creating positive first impressions and providing vital information to residents, their families, prospective residents, guests, and employees. This position requires an individual who is professional, friendly, focused, and highly detail-oriented, capable of responding promptly to various requests and ensuring a secure environment for all community members. The concierge plays a critical role in maintaining the safety and order of the building and community grounds, including monitoring public traffic, assisting visitors, and responding swiftly to emergencies or maintenance issues. The position involves shifts from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., including weekends and holiday shifts on a rotating basis, requiring flexibility and reliability. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Prior customer service experience
  • Front desk and telephone experience preferred
  • Valid Texas Driver’s License with good driving record
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills, good judgement, and attention to detail
  • Understanding of HIPAA requirements
  • Proficient in PC skills including Microsoft Office, Word, and some Excel
  • Must be willing to undergo a routine background check

Job Duties

  • Remains alert throughout the shift to quickly respond to emergencies or requests for assistance
  • Monitors all incoming public traffic and assists with questions
  • Track incoming/outgoing residents and guests
  • Receives guests and others in a courteous, polite, and warm manner
  • Maintains cleanliness and orderliness of common areas and all visible areas to the public
  • Responds to needs of residents, families, prospective residents, vendors, and visitors by providing immediate and courteous assistance
  • Locks and unlocks doors at designated times according to community protocol
  • Answers telephone calls, determines nature, relays information or routes calls appropriately
  • Operates paging/telephone system as required
  • Makes hourly rounds inside and outside community to ensure safety
  • Escorts residents, staff, or visitors to vehicles and parks resident’s vehicles upon request
  • Assists with maintenance orders through electronic system
  • Addresses equipment malfunctions and assists with repairs
  • Monitors emergency calls, doors, and fire alarms responding per policies
  • Sets up or takes down for activities as requested
  • Maintains professional appearance and hygiene per company policies
