Job Description

Leigh & Co. Events is a rapidly expanding wedding planning company with a presence spanning across the entire United States. Specializing in providing comprehensive wedding design, coordination, and planning services, the company prides itself on delivering exceptional experiences to engaged couples as they prepare for one of the most important days of their lives. Their services encompass all stages of wedding planning, from initial design concepts to seamless day-of coordination, ensuring that each celebration is uniquely tailored to the vision and style of the couple.

Leigh & Co. Events is actively seeking dedicated and professional Lead Wedding Coordinators to join their team in key locations including Boston, Springfield, and Cape Cod. This position is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about the wedding industry and looking to establish or advance their careers as wedding planners. The role is contract-based, providing flexibility with scheduling and allowing coordinators to pick their own hours — an appealing feature for those balancing other commitments. Compensation for this role is competitive, ranging from $25 to $35 per hour, paid per project, reflecting the level of responsibility and expertise required. Training is provided, making it accessible for those who meet the experience criteria but wish to hone their skills and knowledge further.

As a Lead Wedding Coordinator with Leigh & Co. Events, your primary responsibility will be to serve as the main point of contact and overseer for wedding day operations. This role demands a proactive and organized individual who can confidently lead the planning and execution of the wedding day, ensuring that each element runs smoothly and according to plan. Working closely with assistant coordinators, the Lead Coordinator is tasked with creating detailed wedding timelines that guide the couple and all involved parties. You will act as an advocate for the couple, providing calm reassurance and resolution during potentially stressful moments on the wedding day. Your presence at the venue is required from the start of the morning preparations through to the final tear down at night, making this a hands-on and dynamic role.

Your duties will include managing ceremony and reception set ups, greeting and directing vendors, and coordinating all logistical details with vendors to ensure flawless execution. Attention to detail is critical, as you will be responsible for the arrangement and placement of seating cards, menu cards, table numbers, favors, guest books, and additional decor items. Support for the wedding party and family members is also an important part of the role, requiring excellent interpersonal skills and a service-oriented attitude. Additionally, ensuring that end-of-event arrangements for gifts, guest books, and other special items are organized and accounted for falls under your purview.

The position is ideal for those who thrive in high-pressure environments and enjoy working collaboratively to bring a couple's dream wedding to life. With training provided and the opportunity for flexible contract work, Leigh & Co. Events offers a unique platform to launch or grow your career in the wedding planning industry within vibrant and demanding markets like Boston, Springfield, and Cape Cod. Join this exciting company as a Lead Wedding Coordinator and contribute to creating unforgettable wedding experiences that couples will cherish for a lifetime.
